New GUPPYFRIEND® Washing Bag Gear Care

When any synthetic garment is machine washed, tiny plastic fibers (also called microfibers) can break and enter rivers and oceans via wastewater. The Guppyfriend® Washing Bag helps reduce this microfiber pollution. According to the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, on average 86% fewer synthetic-clothing fibers break when washed in the washing bag. The fibers that do break collect in the corners of the washing bag. After washing, these are easily removed and can be disposed of properly.
